Service And Leadership For MD19 Lions…

The MD19 Lions Foundation, formerly known as the “MD19 Lions Service And Leadership Development Foundation”, is a Washington non–profit corporation qualified as a charitable organization under §501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. The foundation provides support for leadership training and community service to Lions Clubs and communities locaed in British Columbia, Canada, northern Idaho, and Washington state in the United States.

  • MD19 Council Of Governors Meeting — The Multiple Dustrict 19 Lions Winter Council of Governors meeting will be held via ZOOM on Saturday, February 8, 2025.   • NWLLI 2025 — The next edition of the Northwest Lions Leadership Conference will be held May 1 to 4, 2025 at the Ross Point Camp & Conference Center in Post Falls, Idaho.   • 2024/2025 MD19 Annual Convention — The MD19 Annual Convention will be held in Chilliwack, B.C. May 16 and 17, 2025. There will be new training for Zone Chairs, Vice District Governors and District Governors as well as members of the GAT immediately proceeding the Convention. The theme for our Convention, Even With a Moving Target Lions Hit their Mark (Creating a Culture of Growth). SAVE THE DATE!   • MD19 CARE Project — For every $50000 dollars (US and CDN at par) a club donates to the Multiple District 19 Lions CARE project, the club is eligible to award a Gordon F. Smith CARE Fellowship to a deserving club member (a CARE certificate and pin). The Fellowship must be requested in the same Lions year in which the donation was made to the MD19 CARE Project. Contact the MD19 office, md19admin@lionsmd19.org, to make a CARE Project donation.
  • Friends of the Garden — Donations to or for the benefit of the Multiple District 19 Lions Memorial Garden are always welcome from individuals or Lions Clubs. The Garden, which is located on the groiunds of the MD19 office in Bellingham, can not exist without your contributions. Contact the MD19 office, md19admin@lionsmd19.org, to make a Friends of the Garden donation..

Mission

To provide educational and leadership training programs for the development of tomorrow's leaders in schools, communities, business, and service organizations.

Purposes

The MD19 Lions Foundation purposes are to:

  • Solicit, collect, and otherwise raise money for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes;
  • Expend, contribute, disburse, and otherwise handle and dispose of money raised for its purposes either directly or by contributions;
  • Provide the instruction of transferable leadership skills at all levels of Lions International and to members of other organizations, businesses, and the public;
  • Present educational seminars, forums, panels, lectures, and discussion groups about the programs offered by this Foundation, Lions International and Multiple District 19;
  • Develop and implement a public relations outreach that promotes positive community involvement and leadership skill development by service—minded individuals, and;
  • Encourage those with leadership abilities to achieve continued personal growth by accepting challenges and opportunities in community service locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally.
