The MD19 Lions Foundation, formerly known as the “MD19 Lions Service And Leadership Development Foundation”, is a Washington non–profit corporation qualified as a charitable organization under §501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation provides funding support for scientific, educational, charitable, leadership, and service development to the communities served by Lions Clubs in British Columbia, Canada, and North Idaho and Washington in the United States.

  • Date graphic District 19–O Convention —The 2025/2026 District 19–O convention, “Back To School” is scheduled for March 20–21, 2026, at the Evergreen Hall, 9291 Courbold Street, Chilliwack, British Columbia Canada.   • Date graphic Esquimalt Lions Diamond Jubilee — Party Time for the Esquimalt Lions Club. All Lions are invited to join the Esquimalt Lions Club's 75th Anniversary Celebration on March 28, 2026, at the Scottish Cultural Community Centre, 1801 Admirals Road in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada. Ticket prices are CAN$6500. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., dancing at 9:00 p.m. RSVP to Lion Lin McPhee by March 14, 2026.

  • Date graphic District 19–S Convention —The 2025/2026 District 19–S convention, “Let's Have Fun” is scheduled for April 17–19, 2026, at the Couer d' Alene Casino Resort Hotel in Worley, Idaho U.S.A.   • Date graphic District 19–I 2025/2026 convention — The District 19–I Lions annual convention, “Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things” will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton, 2569 Dobbin Road, West Kelowna, British Columbia Canada on April 24–25, 2026.   • Date graphic MD19 Annual Convention — The 2025/26 MD19 Convention, themed “Celebrating the Fruits of Service” is all set for May 23 & 24, 2026 (yes, that's Memorial Day weekend) in Wenatchee, Washington U.S.A. Add a day and take advantage of Free bus service to and from the Leavenworth Bravarian Village or Lake Chelan — why not bring the family for a Memorial weekend junket with shopping, sightseeing, and an MD19 Convention!   • Date graphic Northwest Lions Leadership Institute — The 20226 Northwest Lions Leadership Institute will be held June 4 to June 7, 2026 in Chilliwack, British Columbia Canada. The Institute is a hands-on leadership experience created specifically for Lions. It’s practical, interactive, and focused on real skills you can use immediately — in your club, your district, and your everyday life. This is not a lecture weekend. It is not about titles. It's about learning how to lead people, build momentum, and strengthen clubs. Registration is US$35000, CAN$37500, which covers everything — tuition, lodging, and all materials. Mission

To provide educational and leadership training programs for the development of tomorrow's leaders in schools, communities, business, and service organizations.

Purposes

The MD19 Lions Foundation purposes are to:

  • Solicit, collect, and otherwise raise money for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes;
  • Expend, contribute, disburse, and otherwise handle and dispose of money raised for its purposes either directly or by contributions;
  • Provide the instruction of transferable leadership skills at all levels of Lions International and to members of other organizations, businesses, and the public;
  • Present educational seminars, forums, panels, lectures, and discussion groups about the programs offered by this Foundation, Lions International and Multiple District 19;
  • Develop and implement a public relations outreach that promotes positive community involvement and leadership skill development by service—minded individuals, and;
  • Encourage those with leadership abilities to achieve continued personal growth by accepting challenges and opportunities in community service locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally.
